about

– THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE BANDCAMP TRACK TIED TO THE WHOLE ALBUM! –

Originally called "Rhenium", this track was my first completely finished and (as I would name it) "real Techno track" in the midst of 1999.

(If you're a real connoiseur, you might have heard a cut-up loop of this before on one of the endless grooves on the Dinamoe record "Infinicious Orange" on my discontinued label Dinamuzac.)

Anyway.
Back in 1999, I was 12 years old, looking back on 3-4 years of experimenting with music production techniques using very minimalistic and pretty cheap equipment.

This track was produced with Cubase VST 3(.?) on some ancient Windows machine (233 MHz processor, 64 or somewhat RAM).
I've been sampling ambient noises with a tacky microphone and a keyboard for children, additionally using a digital tone/noise generator within WaveLab.
Listen closely (if even necessary) and you can hear the tape static and the buzzing from the tape head.

You can't fake those days.
You could just imitate - but why?
I don't aspire to do so.
It's simply about awareness and closing circles for me.
You're invited to join and enjoy the trip...
